Acne

Acne is the most common skin problem worldwide, affecting as many as 85% of people at some point. Fortunately, there is good news: we offer effective treatments that are reimbursed with supplemental insurance. For professional acne treatment, you are welcome to visit us in Zandvoort and Amsterdam.

How does acne develop?

Acne develops when pores become clogged by a build-up of dead skin cells and excess sebum, resulting in inflammation such as pimples. Hormonal changes, for example during puberty, menstruation or pregnancy, often play a role in this. In addition, stress, diet, certain cosmetics and medication can also contribute to the development of acne.

Coverage for treatments

With supplementary insurance, many skin treatments are often reimbursed, such as treatments for acne, acne scars, pigmentation spots, redness, and facial hair removal. We have contracts with all health insurers.

What is the skin reaction after the treatment?

The skin reactions after a peeling and an acne treatment can vary, depending on the intensity of the treatment and the skin type. Usually the skin is somewhat red and sensitive immediately after the treatment. Some swelling may also occur. After a chemical peel or an acne treatment, it is important to hydrate the skin well and protect it from the sun with a good SPF.

If desired, we camouflage the skin after the treatment, allowing you to immediately resume your daily activities. This special camouflage, Lycogel, also has an anti-inflammatory effect and does not clog the skin.
