How does an IPL treatment work?

During an IPL treatment, powerful light pulses are directed at the skin. This light is absorbed by pigment in the skin and converted into heat, which destroys unwanted pigmentation spots and red veins without damaging the surrounding skin. This controlled light therapy also stimulates collagen production, contributing to skin renewal and evening out skin tone.

For which skin type is an IPL treatment suitable?

The IPL treatment is suitable for a wide range of skin types. We often apply the treatment to individuals with skin types 1 to 3, as pigmentation spots and red veins are more noticeable on lighter skin. However, we can also effectively treat darker skin. We can adjust the treatment settings to ensure it is safe for every skin type.
